About us

Robert Turnbull formed the Company in 1989. Robert established the Business as a Roofing Merchant near Romsey in Hampshire. After initially concentrating on the sales of a broad range of roofing materials the decision was made to specialise in importing clay roof tiles.

An agreement was made with Huguenot Fenal, France's largest Clay tile manufacturer to import their range of Clay tiles. In 1999 Huguenot Fenal merged with two other sister Companies to form Imerys Toiture.

As a result of continual growth the need for new larger premises became apparent. Following a lengthy search the Company acquired a large industrial unit at Eastgate Works in Chapel Road, Southampton in 2003.

The unit, a site of around three quarters of an acre includes considerable covered storage and is in an extremely prominent location in Southampton Docklands.

With the move to the new premises, a broadening of the range has taken place to include Natural Slates and Hand Made Clay Tiles. In addition GRP Brick faced Chimneys and the Cupa Natural Materials Range has been added to the portfolio.

Turnbull Roofing Products now distribute within a large area of Southern England including Avon, Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex and Wiltshire.
